GROOVE FOR GOOD

Groove for Good is a fundraising event opportunity for local non-profit organizations. Events take place at Amped in Milwaukee's Brewery District. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are available to be booked via the Sales Team, based on availability. Events include two hours of hosted karaoke and a portion of all food & beverage sales to benefit your organization.

Charitable donations

Bars & Recreation donates thousands of dollars every year by offering charitable organizations custom events for small groups. Please note, this complimentary experience voucher must be used in an auction or gala fundraiser setting, and the event must display the Bars & Recreation, Inc. logo publicly in some way.​

To request a donation to your auction or gala, please complete and submit the form below. Note: 501(c)3 non-profit documentation is required. 

If your organization is chosen, a Bars & Recreation representative will contact you. All donation certificates will be distributed over email with information on how to redeem.

2026 Deer District Holiday Showcase
Presented as part of the BID #53 Deer District Holiday Market

We're seeking exceptional choirs, dance groups, school ensembles, cultural performers, local bands, musicians, and holiday entertainers to join the 2026 Deer District Holiday Showcase. As a featured performer in one of downtown Milwaukee's premier holiday celebrations, you’ll introduce your organization to new audiences, connect with potential members, and create a memorable experience for your performers and supporters.

Market/Show Info

Dates: November 20 – December 6

• Weekdays: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Black Friday (November 27): 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Saturdays: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM & Sundays: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Location: Deer Garden, 1133 N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53203

• Elevated stage, 24’ x 16’ with stairs on both sides
• Alternative performance options available for wandering performers and larger groups
• All performances will be outdoors with indoor backup options available

Tech provided:

• Basic stage lighting
• Basic sound system, microphones, and an on-site audio technician
• LED video wall backdrop
• Emcee/host
• Bands: We provide a front-of-house PA system. Bands should provide their own instruments, amplifiers/backline, monitors (if desired), and audio engineer.

​Performance Expectations

• Prepare minimum 30-minute performance of family-friendly holiday or seasonal content
• Check in at least 15 minutes prior to show time
• Promote your show via your organization’s communications
• Follow all event policies and staff instructions

​Community Performers Welcome

​Many community organizations choose to perform at no charge as an opportunity to showcase their talent. Limited travel reimbursements, expense stipends, and artist honorariums may be available based on group size, travel distance, and programming needs.
