​The mission of Bars & Recreation, Inc. is to provide engaging experiences through creative activities, food, and beverages that bring people together.

Bars & Rec also hosts fundraising events and more to raise money for causes and organizations. ​Our team consistently goes above & beyond to help our community.

GROOVE FOR GOOD

Groove for Good is a fundraising event opportunity for local non-profit organizations. Events take place at Amped in Milwaukee's Brewery District. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are available to be booked via the Sales Team, based on availability. Events include two hours of hosted karaoke and a portion of all food & beverage sales to benefit your organization.

Deer District Community Showcase 2025 Application Form

Deer District BID #53 celebrates local talent through music, art, and entertainment by offering opportunities for youth groups to perform publicly in the heart of Milwaukee’s Deer District, adjacent to Fiserv Forum. The Deer District Community Showcase allows children and teens to express themselves through music, dance, theater, and visual arts via a series of performances on the Beer Garden stage. These performances aim to foster community spirit, promote collaboration, and inspire the next generation of artists.

• Each selected performance group will be awarded a date and time in 2025 to perform on the outdoor stage. Performances should last 45–60 minutes, plus set up and strike time. The area has some overhead cover, but dates may need to be rescheduled if weather conditions require postponement. Groups will have reserved space inside The New Fashioned to gather before and store belongings during the performance.
• Performances are generally unpaid; however, groups may request nominal funds to help cover related expenses (i.e. busing, parking, equipment rentals, etc.).
• Groups will be chosen based on availability, ability to adhere to program requirements, diversity of group age(s) in relation to other applicants, and diversity of genre in relation to other applicants.
• Each event will be promoted by the Deer District social networks, along with other area businesses, including The New Fashioned and Bars & Recreation social media platforms.

Applications will be reviewed and selected on a rolling basis. Dates are limited.

As the world has changed, the needs of girls and the pressures they face have intensified. Numerous reports have shown the decline in girls’ mental health and physical activity levels over the last decade. Girls on the Run helps to address these mental and physical health concerns. Now more than ever, girls need the skills to build their confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and discover the joy of movement

Charitable donations

Bars & Recreation donates thousands of dollars every year by offering our employees the opportunity to donate a $50 gift card to a charitable organization of their choice.

To request a donation to your auction or gala, please complete and submit the form below. If one of our team members selects your organization, we will be in contact with you. All donations must be picked up in person at one of our ​Bars and Recreation locations. A representative from Bars and Recreation will contact you to arrange pick-up details.

Please note, the gift card must be used in an auction or gala fundraiser setting, and the event must display the Bars & Recreation, Inc. logo publicly in some way.
